Respecting copyright, the right way.
WoneSuite hosts websites and content that our tenants create and control. When copyright disputes arise, the DMCA gives rightsholders and users a clear, lawful path to resolve them. Here's exactly how notice-and-takedown works on our platform.

Our Commitment to Intellectual Property
WoneSuite is a multi-tenant business operating system that lets organizations build and publish public websites, author content through our CMS and website builder, and upload media and files. Because content on the platform is created and controlled by our tenants, we take the intellectual-property rights of others seriously.
We respect the copyrights of creators, businesses, and rightsholders, and we expect everyone who uses WoneSuite to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. §512, we respond to properly submitted notices of claimed copyright infringement and, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
This policy explains what content this policy covers, how to notify us of infringing material, what happens after we receive a valid notice, and how a user whose content was removed can respond with a counter-notification.
Scope — Content This Policy Covers
This policy applies to user-generated and tenant-controlled material hosted on or made available through WoneSuite, including:
- Tenant-published websites & pages
- CMS articles, posts & product pages
- Media libraries & uploaded files
- Images, video & audio
- Documents & downloadable assets
- Custom-domain sites served by WoneSuite
- Form and portal content
- Any other material stored on or delivered through the platform
Because WoneSuite acts as a hosting provider for content its tenants create and control, we are generally not in a position to adjudicate copyright disputes ourselves. The DMCA process exists to give rightsholders and users a clear, lawful path to resolve them.
Before You Send a Notice
Consider whether the use you are reporting is actually infringing. Some uses of copyrighted material are permitted by law — for example, fair use, licenses, or permission from the rightsholder. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, you may wish to consult an attorney.
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake or misidentification — may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Do not submit a notice for content you do not own or are not authorized to enforce.
How to File a Copyright Takedown Notice
If you are a copyright owner, or an agent authorized to act on the owner's behalf, and you believe material on WoneSuite infringes your copyright, please send our Designated Copyright Agent a written notice that includes all six elements required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3):
- 1A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- 2Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed — or, if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list of those works.
- 3Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that you want removed or disabled, with enough information to let us locate it — for example, the specific URL(s) where the material appears.
- 4Your contact information so we can reach you, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- 5A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- 6A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Incomplete notices may delay our response or prevent us from acting. Please include every element above so we can process your request expeditiously.
Where to Send Your Notice — Designated Agent
Send your completed notice to WoneSuite's Designated Copyright Agent:
Designated Copyright Agent, WoneSuite — dmca@wonesuite.com. Please put "DMCA Notice" in the subject line so we can route it promptly.
This contact is for copyright-infringement notices only. Reports unrelated to copyright — such as general support, abuse, or privacy requests — should be directed to the appropriate team and may not receive a response if sent here.
What Happens After a Valid Notice
When we receive a notice that substantially complies with §512(c)(3), we will act expeditiously to:
6.1 Our response
- Remove or disable access to the material identified in the notice
- Take reasonable steps to notify the tenant or user who posted it
- Provide the affected user with a copy of the takedown notice where appropriate
- Record the notice against our repeat-infringer tracking
Removing or disabling material in response to a notice is not a determination that the user did anything wrong. It reflects our obligations as a hosting provider under the DMCA. The affected user may respond with a counter-notification, described below.
Counter-Notification
If you are a tenant or user whose material was removed or disabled and you believe this was the result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our Designated Agent. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3), a valid counter-notification must include:
- 1Your physical or electronic signature.
- 2Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location at which it appeared before it was removed or disabled — for example, the URL(s).
- 3A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- 4Your name, address, and telephone number, together with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which WoneSuite may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice, or that party's agent.
Send counter-notifications to the same Designated Copyright Agent address above, with "DMCA Counter-Notice" in the subject line.
What Happens After a Counter-Notification
When we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the person who submitted the original takedown notice and inform them that we may restore the removed material.
Unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we may restore the removed material in not less than 10, nor more than 14, business days after receiving your counter-notification, consistent with §512(g).
Repeat-Infringer Policy
Consistent with §512(i), WoneSuite has adopted and reasonably implements a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of tenants or users who are repeat infringers.
Accounts that are the subject of repeated, valid copyright complaints may have content removed, features restricted, or the entire workspace suspended or terminated — at our reasonable discretion and in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Misrepresentation & Liability
The DMCA is not a tool for silencing lawful expression or resolving unrelated business disputes. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for any resulting damages — including the costs and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer, the copyright owner or its authorized licensee, or WoneSuite.
Submitting false, bad-faith, or abusive notices or counter-notices carries real legal consequences. Only file if you have a genuine, good-faith basis and the authority to do so.
Other Jurisdictions
The DMCA is a United States law. WoneSuite serves tenants and visitors in many countries, and rightsholders outside the United States may have remedies under their own local copyright and intermediary-liability laws.
Regardless of where you are located, you may use the notice-and-takedown process described above to report material you believe infringes your copyright. Where local law imposes additional or different requirements, we will handle valid requests in a manner consistent with applicable law.
Tenant Responsibilities
As a tenant, you are responsible for the content you publish, upload, and host through WoneSuite. You must have the necessary rights, licenses, or permissions for all material you make available on your website, in your media library, and through the platform.
Publishing content that infringes another party's copyright violates our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use policy and may result in removal of the content and action against your account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this DMCA & Copyright Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal obligations. When changes are material, we will notify you through the website, the platform, or email, and update the "Effective" date above.
